Graduate school times two
The more I think about it, the more excited I get about going back to school. Now it took a minute, I will definitely admit, for this excitement to come. And I hope I’m not getting excited because I won’t get in. That would be just my luck. However, I’m going to stay positive. If things don’t work out immediately, it’s ok. I’ll just continue to work and go from there, applying again next year. If I didn’t mention before, and I’m not sure if I did or not, I decided to apply for programs in Nutrition Sciences. I’m excited about the prospect of getting back into the lab and back to the sciences. I do actually like my current field, but I am interested in ultimately combining the two and going from there. I might actually work with people again instead of staring at my computer all day, which would be fabulous! I’m sure none of that made sense, but we could certainly talk about it more via email or something if you’re so curious that you can’t stand my vague descriptions!
I have no idea what I’ve mentioned on here, so I’ll just repeat. I suppose I could re-read my posts but that would be too much like right. So anyway, I went down to one of the schools a couple of weeks ago and had a lovely time. I was initially thinking that I wouldn’t be interested in this school for a variety of reasons, but one of the deans of the previous program I attended suggested that I look into it anyway. I was soooo pleased and excited once I spoke to the faculty and some students. It would be a wonderful place to attend, I think.
I am happy to say that I have an interview with my TOP school choice next month!! I’m so excited! I don’t even know what I need to do to prepare, but you can believe that I will have figured it out before going there. Let me restate again that this is my top choice for attending school and they didn’t say, “You know what?? Hell to the nizzaw we’re not admitting you to our school because you SUCK!!” Well, really, I just think nizzaw is ridiculous. And, AND! That’s what they said the first time I applied, and quickly too. Like they didn’t need to think twice about it. But anyway, I’m excited. I am going to send out two more applications yet, so hopefully something wonderful will happen with one of them (and preferably not only the one on the other side of the country, although I’d be pleased if they offered me a great package and such, stating that they’ll give me all their money if I please attend their school, lol).
Drifting away from blogland
Hey all. I have been really busy lately trying to get some work done and getting my graduate school applications done. I am here and doing well though. I’ve been getting out more and doing stuff for fun instead of working all the time, and it has been great! I’ll tell you more about that later. I’ve got a short story brewing, so when I get a moment, I’ll finish that and post it. I hope you are all doing well.
~Sincerely,
