Constant Rain

More random rants, thoughts, and impromptu stories

Hmph!

Like I have mentioned before, until today, nothing but the same old stuff– work/trying to figure out where to go to school– has been going on with me. Now, though, I have a new thing to complain about. Before I deleted myself, I used to talk about health issues (problems that I have had) and have my random rants. Well, why has the old “trick lung” returned?? I’m hoping that it is so small that it will resolve itself.  Blah. :( In the meantime, I’m going to eat pizza and sit real still.

High School

This is quite amusing. This is, by the way, more about me than you ever needed to know! :D

1. Who was your best friend? I didn’t have friends!! Just kidding. My best friend was Miss S for many years, and when J came to the school in 11th grade, I quickly grew fond of her too. How couldn’t you?!?

2. What sports did you play? I ran track all 4 years although I wasn’t particularly fast.

3. What kind of car did you drive? I had a 1994 Saturn SL named Jeffrey.

4. It’s Friday night; where are you? At some basketball or football game, or perhaps at one of the aboved mentioned friend’s homes.

5. Were you a party animal? No. I was shy.

6. Were you considered a flirt? No

7. Ever skip school? Sure did, well not until junior year when I realized that I could have passes written by school faculty for my skipping. It wasn’t a weekly thing or anything, but yeah.

8. Were you in any clubs? Yep several.

9. Suspended? Never. For some reason my antics were tolerable, and I was well liked among the teachers.

10. Can you sing the fight song? Dude.. did we have a fight song???

11. Who was your favorite teacher? I actually liked a lot of my teachers too. I had a couple of teachers for four or 5 years though, and grew quite fond of them, including Feeba and Sra. Tomlinson.

12. What was your favorite class? I enjoyed my math and science classes.

13. What was your school’s full name? Waverly

14. School mascot? Warriors

15. Did you go to dances? Yep. Not until I got into high school though, mostly because I was too afraid to ask to go.

16. If you could go back and do it over again, would you? Hell to the naw

17. What do you remember most about graduation? Mr Thomas (the wack principle while trying to make it seem like he was all cool with the black students grabbed me up for an impromptu hug on stage that was caught on film. I had the “what the hell??” look on my face. Apparently some were able to dodge it, but I didn’t see it coming, since I probably didn’t exchange more than 10 words in 4 years with that guy.

18. Favorite memory of your senior year? Maybe prom too for several (some strange) reasons. I was too shy to dance though. lol I hated dancing in public.

19. Were you ever posted up on the senior wall? What wall?

20. Where did you go most often for lunch? Cafeteria. yuck

21. Have you gained weight since high school? Yes, thankfully. I was rather shapeless then.

22. What did you do after graduation? Immediately? We went to Red lobster. lol

23. When did you graduate?1996

24. Where are most of your classmates? A lot still living in Michigan I hear.

25. Did you have a high school sweetheart? I guess. I dated a couple of guys, and had lenthy high school relationships. Who knows where those dudes are today.

26. Have you changed since? Interestingly, I don’t think I’m so uptight, and I’m more confident about myself. (which probably isn’t saying a whole lot, or maybe it is saying more than a lot!!).

27. Have you been to your high school since you graduated? I haven’t been inside, but I was outside of a building next door to it not too long ago.. Does that count??

I should be at work

I mean.. I’m going to work! The problem is that I never should have opened up my computer!  Ok, that’s not entirely true. I’d really like to crawl back into bed, but in my attempt to be somewhat ethical, I will roll out of here and get to work by 9am.  I haven’t had too much stuff to blog about lately.  I’ve been working a lot, trying to make up for being out of the office so much lately. And when I’ve been out of the office, I’ve been visiting schools and such, which has been a very entertaining experience, to say the least.  I STILL haven’t made a decision, and it’s bad because every day the decision changes! Some days it changes a couple of times during the day!  There are clearly aspects that I like about all of the programs, and things I dislike about them as well (because if every single thing lined up for at least one, the decision would be made!!).  And what I dislike, I REALLY dislike.  Anyway, this weekend I’m off to my home town in Michigan for my last school visit. I’m looking forward to visiting with my mother for a while and with my friends.
