I can't imagine going to a clinic to get formula for my baby and there being none??? I was told how bad it would be to breastfeed but there is no formula and my baby is hungry? It's one thing to have no access because you just have no access, but to have a false sense of access is terrible. One also has to wonder who benefits from pushing this feeding plan. I don't have the answer, but i'm sure the answer would be enlightening. And they shouldn't die, but they sure do. Money will get you somewhere! Yes. I'll be studying maternal child nutrition, child development and international health, but my current work area is in the topic discussed in the article. I'm all about the babies, apparently. Going into the medical field too, I just cringe about things like this. Doctors and Government officials come up with these bright ideas and then can't keep the program going well enough. It said in the article that they would run out of formula and they'd have to find what ever they could to feed the kids. WTH?? Not enough? That's completely unacceptable. Still so so sad.
