Pictures
Let’s try this again… Ok apparently someone in bloggerland doesn’t like me so I will just post links to the pictures.
More ramblings and more
So I clearly didn’t have a title for this nothingness that I am about to write. I am going to crank out an abstract in the next hour, do it undergrad style where I wrote 10 page papers in Spanish in 2 hours (papers that weren’t bad at that!). I am just not the most motivated writer right now but as you know, that’s about to change and quick. I am so excited about my schedule! I have all kinds of nutrition classes, and although I have a thousand credits, I’m glad that they are at least interesting looking. We’ll see what I’m sounding like in 4 weeks when MIDTERMS pop up. First of all, how you gonna have midterms in 4 weeks, anyway?? MIDTERMS?? That implies that the class is half over, and you’d be perfectly correct in making that assumption. I have to remind myself that one of the reasons I chose this program in the first place, at this school, is the breadth of information that is covered throughout the program. So while I sound like I’m just figuring out that I’ll be working like a slave for the next couple of years, it really isn’t news. I think I was just in denial, but that has also ended. I’m going to try to see if I can add a fun class to that schedule– something I can take for pass/fail, like a cooking class or something in the undergraduate campus. I just found out that after 12 credits, anything else is essentially “free”, meaning that I’m charged for 12 credits but not for the 18 or so that I will have (and “I” am not even charged for that, thank God!). So I’m thinking that I should take advantage of that, but we’ll see. I don’t want to overextend myself considering that I will be working for my previous job for a few months until some projects are wrapped up. *sigh*
So, speaking of work, I’m going to go do some and hope that I can get through with this stuff in a reasonable amount of time!! Before I go though, I wanted to show you a few pictures. The two landscape photos are from my dining room window. Adios! Ok so I lied. I tried to attach pictures but they posted ridiculously. So whatever.

Slowly adjusting
Well, we’re slowly but surely adjusting to our new home (and to the idea that I will be in class next week). There’s wanting to go get another degree, and wanting to be in school, and these are totally different things! They are, however, catching up to each other, at least for the moment, and that seems like a good way to start the quarter. I’m madly missing my friends in Atlanta, most especially Elly and N. They are so much fun, and I spent just about every day with both of them! I do have my roommate now, who is a great person, I think I’ll call her Pat, and she has a good friend who lives about 5 minutes from us. So at least I have a couple of contacts and am not so alone. Oh yes, and there’s the dog, and I’m apparently his best friend, much to my cat’s displeasure. If I hadn’t closed him out, he’d be right here sitting next to me trying to get me to play.
I found the coolest grocery store. It’s like a cross between wholefoods and kroger. You know how much I enjoy food (which I’m eating right now- a black pepper turkey sandwich), so finding a grocery store IN THE CITY, no doubt (that’s for those who live in cities with no grocery stores), has me completely pleased.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I have to do some work. I’m still working for my last job! Take care.
Well…
I’m here. I’m all moved in to my new place. I don’t think I’ll ever be unpacked! It was a tough move because I’m all the way up on the 11th floor, and there are long hallways. It was so traumatic! The drive was even more traumatic. I don’t know how many hours it took but because I was pulling my car on a trailer behind the truck, the truck was driving all extra funny. So it was a really slow ride. At any rate, I’ve decided that my area isn’t that bad. I was really worried about it at first, but it’s not bad at all. It’s actually quite nice. And the school is so close. It’s completely convenient. I kind of feel like i’m living in a dorm but even that isn’t so so bad. It’s not the freshest smelling place but I’m working on that as well. All in all, I’m ok. Broke, but ok.
Well, it’s not like that part is new either.
So, I’ll have to take some pictures and post them. Until then, I hope you are all doing well.

I’ll be back!
I’ll be back next week– posting from the east coast! Talk to you then!

This is the funniest product ever…
For those who need a laugh or need to rid themselves of an itch…
My friend Elli (which I’ll officially call him from now on) showed me an ad for this stuff, which is apparently sold at this hardcore hardware store north of the city, and I thought it was a joke. Of course, he said he thought about me when he saw it because I’m always calling people “monkey” or “monkey butt.” I can’t stop looking at the picture. It makes me laugh every single time!!
Since nobody wants to talk about feet…
… I will just post briefly to talk about a bunch of nothing! And I’ll make it a list! HA!
1. Moving still stinks. I have been preparing for weeks and it seems like I’ve done nothing, which is great. Would anyone like to help me pack??
2. I’m so broke. Oh God! Every time I almost think I’m not, I get another hospital bill to force me back into reality.
3. I’ll be working tonight until 1115pm. I hope I don’t have to slap anyone. Just kidding, kind of.
4. I think I’m actually starting to look forward to living elsewhere. I’ll miss some key people down here furiously, but I’m really looking forward to school now.
5. It’s impossible for me to find a decent picture (i.e. one that I wouldn’t mind if others saw) to send to the school. My camera is strangely busted, and since my computer has crashed however many trillion times, I have no pictures left on there. I even looked to friends and ones saved online, and the consensus is that I take ridiculous pictures and should wear a paper bag over my head if anyone takes out a camera.
7. I have discovered the tastiest combination! I’m drinking instant coffee with coconut creamer with a bite of york peppermint patty. It’s delicious! You should try it!
Ok, must run!
