My way of dealing with it is AC. Close the windows and crank it up CR! That and music of the iPOD persuasion helps. I'm just glad to be out of an apartment and have decent neighbors. Although, one of my neighbors just gave birth to twins so it should get pretty noisy in the next few years, especially if I end up going off the next time their humongous dog shits in my yard again...ahh life in the burbs...
